Nonprofit Partnerships
I work with two non profits to provide services those who are under insured or without insurance. At this time I can only see clients via telehealth through these partnerships.
Open Path Collective – folks without insurance or who are under-insured pay a one time membership fee to access a directory of vetted clinicians who provide reduced-rate sessions.
Second Wind Fund – clients 19 and younger can receive a limited number of sessions that are paid for by the fund.

Additional considerations
The research shows that counseling can be effective in decreasing negative mental health outcomes, and increasing resiliency and positive coping skills. That being said, much of your success in counseling is based on your readiness, willingness to grow, and intentionally implement changes within your life. Another big piece of therapeutic success is actually the therapeutic relationship itself, so it is important that clients collaborate with a therapist they feel is a good fit for them.
We will take one to two sessions to complete our intake together. We’ll discuss your rights as a client and the informed consent documentation. We will make sure your questions are answered, and assess whether you and I may be a good fit. Next I’ll gather information about your biological, psychological, and social history, and get a sense of what leads you to seek support at this time.
I contract with Mindful Therapy Group for administrative support like intake scheduling and billing services, as well as a physical office space in Fort Collins. For support related to insurance or billing, reach out to the administrative staff.
My late cancellation policy is that a minimum of 24 hours notice be given in order to avoid a late cancellation fee. The fee for sessions cancelled less than 24 hours notice is not covered by insurance.
For clients using Open Path to access services, direct billing questions directly to Claire.
Sessions are 53 minutes in length. The total amount of sessions you have will be based on your needs and progress. I am a firm believer that clients are in charge of their own healing journeys. Clients themselves determine how many sessions they need. You may terminate treatment at any time.
NOTICE OF YOUR RIGHTS PROTECTING YOU FROM UNEXPECTED BALANCE BILLS (NO SURPRISES ACT)
1. Federal Protections Under the No Surprises Act.
Under Sections 2799B–1 and 2799B–2 of the Public Health Service Act and implementing regulations (45 CFR § 149.410–.420 and § 149.430), providers and facilities cannot bill you more than your in-network cost-sharing (copays, coinsurance, deductibles) when you receive certain services, including:
- Emergency care from an out-of-network provider or facility.
- Non-emergency services furnished by out-of-network providers at in-network facilities.
2. State Law Protections.
Colorado law may further limit what providers can charge you when they do not have a contract with your insurer. If you have incurred a claim for nonemergency health care services from me, as an out-of-network provider, I will provide you with additional disclosures as required by Colorado law. (4 CCR 737-1.26(B)(1))
3. Contact Information for Enforcement Agencies.
If you believe you received a balance bill in violation of federal or state law, you may file a complaint with:
- Federal: U.S. Department of Health & Human Services — 1 (800) 317‑8010 or www.cms.gov/nosurprises
Colorado: Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies: Address: 1560 Broadway, Suite 1350, Denver, CO 80202. Phone Number: (303) 894-7800.
